STEAG‘s Hydroxy Hub accelerates green steel production

Jan Hintzen gives you an insight into how green hydrogen can make a decisive contribution to decarbonization. The centerpiece of his lecture is the HydrOxy Hub, a joint project approach between thyssenkrupp Steel, thyssenkrupp Uhde Chlorine Engineers and STEAG, which shall be built in the immediate vicinity of the thyssenkrupp site in Duisburg Walsum. The plant shall have an electrolysis capacity of up to 500 MW and thus make a significant contribution to structural change.
